Maintain scientific rigor and reproducibility in all aspects of Remote Sensing Science.
Graduate-level education or 10+ years of relevant experience. A strong background in a relevant field of physical sciences: hydrology, climatology, ecology, agronomy, etc.
Proficient in English (both written and spoken)
Demonstrated working experience with spatial modeling, landscape mapping, and data analysis.
High level of competency in working with any GIS platform, especially open-access software such as QGIS.
Extensive knowledge of pertinent private and public satellite-derived datasets and products and its application in water resources management.
The ability to solve problems creatively and deliver results on time
Experience with Python and key geospatial libraries (e.g. xarray, geopandas, dask, etc.)
Experience with Google Earth Engine and its Python API
Experience with statistical and machine learning techniques for geospatial and time-series datasets
The ability to communicate complex information to non-technical audiences
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment with a goal-oriented approach
A passion for making a positive impact in the world!
Familiarity with agile/scrum methodologies
Experience with AWS and GCP
Good object-oriented coding practices including: version control, testing, docstrings, etc.
Previous experience working in the climate-tech sector
The ability to lead and manage a small team of scientist
Capacity to report and present results to multi disciplinary audiences.
